​The Challenge

Our democratic republic is at grave risk. Nearly 250 years after America's Declaration of Independence from a king, divisions run deep, authoritarianism is on the rise, and even the unifying symbol of the American flag has become polarizing. ​

 

Too many Americans have forgotten our founding principles and the core values that unite us. We must remember and cherish them, or we may lose our republic.

Our Mission

The mission of the One Flag Initiative is to rally Americans around the ideals of our founding. We are a grassroots community of informed and engaged citizens uniting all Americans who reject authoritarianism and are committed to democracy, freedom, justice, and the rule of law. We unite under one flag—our flag, the American flag that represents us all.

 

Our community is unafraid to publicly identify as proudly pro-democracy and anti-authoritarianism, and we stand ready to defend government that is of the people, by the people, and for the people.

What Can You Do?

Here are a few simple things you can begin to do:
1. Use the #NoKings profile pics and hashtag on your social media accounts.

2. Sign up for regular One Flag updates.

3. Show up. Right now, peacefully protesting is one of the most important things you can do.

4. Send us your #NoKings photos! Whether you are wearing #NoKings gear or protesting with #NoKings signs, send them our way, and we’ll include them in the The Social Contract Substack.

5. Proudly wave and display the American flag in order to start positive discussions about U.S. democracy that affirm our core values of freedom, democracy, justice, fairness, and equality.
