The Challenge
249 years after America's Declaration of Independence from a king, our democratic republic is in trouble. The American people are dangerously divided and disengaged, and authoritarianism is on the rise.

The One Flag initiative reminds Americans of what too many seem to have forgotten: the founding principles and core values that unite us. We must remember and cherish those ideals and values, or we may lose them.

The Mission
The mission of the One Flag Initiative is to rally Americans around those founding principles. We'll do this by reminding the American people of, and helping them renew their commitment to, our core American values of democracy, freedom, justice and the rule of law. We are creating a movement of engaged and informed citizens to stand in defense of a government that is of the people, by the people, and for the people.

We'll achieve this mission by creating and growing a community of Americans who publicly identify as proudly pro-democracy and anti-authoritarianism. Then we’ll give them the tools to become pro-democracy, anti-authoritarian ambassadors.
